A PS5 is a significant purchase, and covering the full cost upfront is not always practical. All applications are assessed individually, subject to status and an affordability check.
Rather than saving up for months, monthly payments let you bring a PS5 home when you actually want to start playing. Before you commit, the repayment schedule, monthly amount and total cost are explained clearly during the enquiry process.

Rent-to-own is a type of hire purchase. You receive the PS5 straight away, but you do not own it until every payment has been made in full. If payments stop, Family Finance may have the right to repossess the console. These agreements include protections, such as limits on interest so the total amount payable never exceeds double the cash price, including any related charges.
Repayments are made monthly using the method agreed when your finance is set up. This can include standing order, Continuous Payment Authority, debit card, cash or bank transfer. All payment details are confirmed in your agreement.
Your first repayment is usually due within one month of receiving the console. The exact date and repayment schedule are shown clearly before you commit.
PS5 consoles are provided through rent-to-own hire purchase agreements offered by the lending partner, Family Finance. Agreements typically run over one to three years, depending on your circumstances and the affordability assessment.
You can still apply. Each application is reviewed individually and includes an affordability check. Having bad credit does not automatically mean you will be declined, but approval depends on your current financial situation and ability to manage repayments.
You can still make an enquiry, but approval depends on an affordability assessment. Family Finance will review your circumstances to decide whether the repayments are affordable.
If you have questions about consoles, accessories or the enquiry process, the Family Vision team is here to help.
